The FRL3-26 is the name of the car we utilised in the Tier 3 National Finals on May 23rd 2026. This name has a meaning behind it which is:
FRL - Stands for Falcon Racing Lux
3 - Represents that this car is competing in Tier 3
26 - Stands for the year it was competing in, 2026.
As you can see in the prototypes page, we went through several different designs, ensuring our car was the best design possible by constantly pushing our prototypes to the absolute limit. Through this process we were able to discover a variety of flaws in each of the designs, and improved them between each iteration. This process allowed us to produce, FRL3-26. This final product is carefully designed using aerodynamic components.
There are various aerodynamic components used throughout our car, such as two triangular aerodynamic pieces, which are used to transfer air over the rear of the car. Additionally, a rear wing is used in the back of the car to institute downforce and keep our car going straight. In the middle of the car a slow upwards is used, so that airflow is transferred continuously to the back of the car. In the front of the car a front wing, which covers the wheels transfers air flow from the front of the car all the way to the rear of the car. All of these individual components combine to create an efficient aerodynamic car.
However designing this car was no easy task, as we went through five iterations, which each had to be carefully tested on the official track and inspected closely. Through this process we knew what changes to make for the next iteration, and after many long hours, we arrived at our final project, FRL3-26. That’s why we are fully confident in our cars ability and we are ready to soar to new heights.
